The resort is located on a private beach, 1 km from Port Vila and just 5 km from the airport. The resort has a free ferry service 24 hours to the city, 3 min each way. The rooms are tastefully decorated with individual bungalows, high floor for better views of the tropics and water.
All were refurbished in 1999 and well decorated. Bathrooms are spacious and have bath and shower. All bungalows have balconies with furniture., IDD, hairdryer, bathroom, mini-bar, air conditioning and more.
Michener has a restaurant a la carte menu and views of the water. The restaurant specializes in seafood and meats. The resort is located on a tropical island, a former British high commissioner's home, before independence in 1970. It is a quiet resort in the South Pacific, suitable for couples and honeymooners.
